The Moon Festival is a popular holiday celebrated in China and other parts of Asia. This 3000 year old festival is simlar to Thanksgiving in the U.S. LIke Thanksgiving, Moon Festival is normally spent with family and close friends. Feasting, dancing, gazing at the full moon and eating mooncake are traditional parts of the festival. Today mooncakes have many shapes and flavors. A traditional mooncake is filled with lotus seed paste. As part of the school celebration, the PCRS students will taste this special cake and make traditional Chinese crafts.
