
| Deborah Durbin, Administrative Assistant & News Specialist |
Deborah Durbin has a Master of Arts degree in history from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Mary Baldwin College. Before joining the Panama City Renaissance School team in January of 2010, Ms. Durbin worked at the National Institute of American History and Democracy at the College of Willam and Mary and at the Fairfield Foundation. In these assignments she handled admistrative functions, exhibits, research, budgets and grants. |

| Kate Estes, English and History Teacher |
Ms. Estes, a lawyer, has a wide range of teaching experience, from preschool to the university level. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Southern Mississippi in Psychology and Child Development, and graduated from Florida Coastal Law School Magna Cum Laude. After completing law school, she worked in the legal field and then returned to teaching. Ms. Estes, a recipient of a 2008, 2009 and 2010 teaching excellence designation, is in her fourth year at the PCRS.

| Patricia Perkins, Spanish Teacher |
Ms. Perkins, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, has seven years of teaching experience. Since her family was affiliated with the British Embassy in Argentina, she speaks English and Spanish fluently. In addition to language teaching, she also has expertise in architecture and project design. Ms. Perkins has a unique way of combining games, drama, singing and dance, so young children have fun learning Spanish. Ms. Perkins is in her third year of teaching at the PCRS, receiving teaching excellence designations in 2009 and 2010. |

| Biqing Sheng, Math and Science Teacher |
Biqing Sheng has been teaching science and engineering since 2005. He has a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from Florida State University and a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Nebraska - LIncoln. In addition, he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Thermal Science and Energy Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China. Mr. Sheng is a big soccer fan. He also likes ping pong and tennis. |

| Michelle Spradley, Enrichment & Academic Support Instructor |
Michelle Spradley began working in the Enrichment and Academic Support Program in the 2009-2010 school year. Not only does she have a good rapport with children, but she is also an expert in physical fitmess and nutrition. Her background in math and language arts is often helpful when she works with students on homework. In her free time, Michelle trains for marathons. Before joining the PCRS, Michelle was a contract specialist with the US Air Force. |

| Laura Stahl, Operations |
Ms. Stahl has undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering. Before joining the Panama City Renaissance School team, Laura worked for over 20 years running health and safety operations for the US military. In addition, she has experience in project planning, project implementation and post project follow-up. Since having children, she is active in community programs for preschool and elementary aged children. |

| Juliann Talkington, Administrator |
Juliann Talkington has an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and graduate degrees from Stanford, Columbia and the University of London. She has a strong administrative background, as well as experience in education, science and technology, business management, mathematics and marketing. She believes it is very important for children to have a strong understanding of math, science, English and history and to be fluent in more than one language.

| Lu Xia, Preschool and L20 Teacher |
In addition to teaching experience at the Creative School and the Orlando Chinese School, Ms. Xia has a Master of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Development and Education from the University of Central Florida. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology and a Master of Arts Degree in Comparative Literature and World LIterature from Shandong University. She recently conducted research on parent/child play that was presented at the Congress of the World Association of Infant Mental Health.

| Pengyi Yao, Kindergarten Teacher & L30, L60 Chinese Teacher |
Ms. Yao joined the PCRS from Discovery School in Alexandria, Minnesota. In her assignment there she built the Chinese program. Before moving to Minnesota she worked as an English as a Second Lanage teacher in Davis, Caifornia. Ms. Yao has a Teaching Specialiation from the Xin Yang Normal University in Chinese Education and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Zheng Zhou Institute of Aeronautical Indstury and Management in accounting and management. In her spare time, Ms. Yao enjoys working on calligraphy and cooking.
